India Strikes Back After Attack in Pahalgam
Things are heating up between India and Pakistan again.
It all started when a deadly terrorist attack happened in Pahalgam, Jammu &Kashmir, where several Indian soldiers lost their lives. In response, India launched a military action called Operation Sindhoor.
So, What Is Operation Sindhoor?
It’s a quick and powerful move by the Indian Air Force. Fighter jets reportedly struck targets across the border in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, where the Indian government believes terrorist groups were hiding.
Why Did India Do This?
India says the Pahalgam attack was a planned terrorist strike from across the border. To stop more attacks and send a strong message, India decided to hit back.
What Did Pakistan Say?
Pakistan denies the claims and says there were no terrorist camps there. They’ve also warned India and called the strike illegal. Both sides are now on high alert near the Line of Control (LoC).
Is This Turning into a War?
Not yet and hopefully it doesn’t. But yes, the situation is tense. Both countries have had similar clashes in the past, and most were followed by talks and peace efforts. But right now, things are definitely not calm.
What Could Happen Next?
- Other countries (like the U.S. or China) might step in and ask both sides to cool down.
- There could be more military action.
- Or, they might sit down and talk it out.
Final Message
This isn’t just about governments. Real people, families, kids, workers live near these borders and get affected. No one wants a war. Let’s hope cooler heads win, and peace returns soon.
